an original painting by Paul Ranson based on a reference
photograph by Terri Robertson.
I've loved the sea for as long as I can remember. It's no wonder it's one of my favourite things to paint. Terri's photograph (*) captures the moment before the wave crashes to the beach.
‘One day’ I said to myself ‘I'll turn that photograph into a painting‘.
So I did and here's the tutorial and photograph for you to paint your own. You might also want to add a headland or seagulls. Maybe a distant sailboat. The choice is your as to how much you want to add to your painting.
I've covered every step from blank canvas to finished piece. My video comes with a brief summary sheet of bullet points and the reference photograph which is also available on Pixabay.
Available as either a DVD or as a Live Stream from our website.
